Ricin, one of the deadliest poisons, is organic, too. However, there is a legal definition of organic, and under that definition, I doubt xylitol qualifies. A politician serious about getting his policies adopted would have finished them off. His DoJ would have gone after lawbreakers. He would have asked Congress to pass popular legislation on everything from New Deal type economic rescue to a genuine health care reform. He would have used Executive Orders to advance the policies he campaigned on. Instead, Obama's primary goal seemed to be to resuscitate the Republican Party. He refused to use any of his Presidential powers to fulfill liberal campaign promises, and he insisted that everything had to be "bipartisan". In effect, he insisted that Republicans can solve problems that Democrats can't solve themselves. He adopted Republican proposals as the starting point of what he claimed were negotiations, but were in fact mere theatricals to get what he wanted without blame.

I'm agreeing with Hoexter on how things work, but I don't think it's "good cop, bad cop" which is a routine supposedly to get at the truth. This is just the machinations of the head of a propaganda state. An enemy provides the easiest rallying cry, and so no matter how crazy the Republican Party gets, the Democratic leadership will make sure it remains relatively prosperous.nihil obstethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02336022385130880362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598883894140893389.post-22675635875269130722012-12-14T21:17:01.097+00:002012-12-14T21:17:01.097+00:00Thanks for the review of Sasha and Emma--going on ...Thanks for the review of Sasha and Emma--going on my list. My first ever research paper sprung from her appearance in Ragtime, eventually focusing in on the trial and imprisonment of Goldman and Berkman. i.e. The nascent blooming of this lefty.

Highly recommend this Freddie Deboer post:

http://lhote.blogspot.jp/2012/12/solidarity-forever.html

Which also alerted me that the inimitable IOZ is back:

http://jacobbacharach.wordpress.com/

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
